Terms of Use
Conjectal is for friendly predictions between friends. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms.
No real money
Conjectal is not a gambling or payments service. Bets are settled in pride and “tabs” — IOUs in a unit the bet’s creator chooses, such as beers or push-ups. The app never holds, moves or pays out money. Do not use it for wagering real money, and don’t set a stake unit that is money (a currency, cash or cryptocurrency). The app rejects obvious ones, and bets that try to get around this may be removed.
An honor system
Settling a tab is up to you and your friends. There is no dispute process, and we do not verify outcomes or enforce payment of tabs. Conjectal is not responsible for disagreements between users.
Your account
You must be at least 16. Keep your sign-in details safe and give accurate information. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Be decent
Don’t post anything unlawful, hateful, harassing or sexually explicit, don’t impersonate others, don’t misuse the service or try to break it, and don’t upload content you have no right to share. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
Reporting content
If you see something illegal, abusive or that breaks these terms, email hello@conjectal.com with a link or description and we will review it and remove it where appropriate.
Who runs Conjectal
Conjectal is run by an individual, not a company. You can reach us at hello@conjectal.com.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. You give us permission to store and display it to the people you choose, so the app can work.
Availability
Conjectal is early software provided “as is”. It may change, have bugs or be unavailable, and we do not promise it will always work. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in your profile. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. Questions: hello@conjectal.com. See also our Privacy Policy.
